First yellow! - the Marsh Marigold (254.5) - I went out, determined to find at least one open and actually found 2 open blooms among the many patches of green leaves I came across. Eventually, there will be carpets of yellow.

My attention is now more to the ground where the visible changes are.

 Geese are protecting their nesting areas along the banks. They complain if I approach too closely.
